Collaborative Delivery to Create a More Inclusive and Accessible Facility

Worcester Snoezelen

Our General Works team has successfully delivered improvement works at Worcester Snoezelen, carefully planned and phased to ensure the facility remained fully operational throughout our time on site.

The project focused on enhancing accessibility and creating a more inclusive, user-friendly environment. This included widening existing corridors and reconfiguring internal spaces to provide a new entrance lobby, staff areas and a number of accessible rooms, alongside increased space across the building.

To support the new extension, an extensive drainage scheme was delivered, along with the construction of a new entrance lobby featuring a Sedum green roof system. The extension itself incorporates vertical cladding and a fully insulated roof system, designed to complement the existing building while improving overall performance.

Firestopping improvements were also undertaken across both new and existing areas, ensuring compliance and supporting the long-term safety of the facility.

Delivered in close collaboration with the client and wider project team, the scheme reflects our approach to working within a live environment while achieving meaningful improvements to the building’s accessibility and functionality.
